Wouldn't it look bad on that screen?

1. Depends on the video
2. If you want a good idea about what it'll look like, use the Netflix app

What it needs is a browser that doesn't suck. Then it wouldn't need any of these specialized applications. Pandora, Youtube, Netflix- the 3DS could handle them all if it wasn't hobbled by the baffling browser Nintendo stuffed into it.

Yes. I have youtube on my phone and Vita. My phone (Galaxy Note 2) does it better than Vita, but I still prefer to use it on Vita when I already have it in my hands. When I have 3DS in my hands, I don't feel like putting it down and fetching another device.

If it could have Netflix, it could easily have youtube.

Don't care. I don't use my 3DS for internet because anywhere that has an open WiFi connection, I also have my laptop there.

And I rarely use YouTube in the first place.

I never use my 3ds for internet anyway, I have a computer at home and a netbook when I'm at college, and I don't really use the internet elsewhere.

Nah, I could watch Youtube anywhere these days (phone, computer, tablet, etc.) I'm fine with the 3DS being a pure gaming system.

Why does the 3ds need one?

Just about everyone and their mom already has a smartphone capable of YouTube.
