My Gameboys turn on Instantly. My 3DS takes like 20 seconds to turn on >_>

wtf is up with that?
I thought technology is supposed to move forward and not backwards.

Right now I pressed my 3DS turn on button, the blue light came on and I just waited about 20 seconds for it to turn on.
It has done this since day one and its the same for my friends too.

I try the same thing with my Gameboy, Gameboy Pocket, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance etc.. and BAM! it turns on in less than 1 second.

So wtf give and why does it take so long to turn on?
Is it 2013 or 1976?

My 3DS XL turns on pretty damn fast. Honestly sometimes I turn it off (rarely) and then it comes on almost as quick as waking up from sleep mode, and it weirds me out.

Why do you turn your 3DS off? Mine is always on and I just drop it on the charge dock when I'm not using it. Takes no time for it to turn on for me.

I have to turn mine off every few days or the Gyroscope will stop working completely for some reason. Anybody else have this happen? turning the system off and back on again fixes it

The Gameboy is a very simple piece of technology compared to the 3DS. There's also no "main" OS on the Gameboy, it boots the game directly.

The 3DS has to load up the main selection screen, icons, graphics, whereas Gameboy just loads up a game.

Is this a joke topic? The Game Boy don't have some kind of "OS" like the 3DS has, so obviously, the 3DS has to boot longer. But yeah like many said, why turn it off? I only do that when I clean my screens, else, it's always on, in sleep mode when I'm not playing.

I've never had a problem with the gyroscope. But at least you can easily fix it. First step of any troubleshooting an electronic device is always power cycling.
