Exactly. You choose the direction you move in rather than actually move the character so the onscreen motion is a little awkward.

My first EO game was the second, and I enjoyed it up until I met my first FOE. Then I played the first game and got destroyed on the FIRST FREAKING FLOOR. THEN I played the third game...and its the best one so far. Yes, its very, VERY hard and requires a good amount of strategy and planning, but the rewards are well worth it, and killing those damn lizards, hippos and demon deer on the First Stratum is VERY satisfying after the hell they give you initially.

So yeah, I have my copy of IV preordered, and can't wait.

Because the people who disagree don't care enough to try to sway your opinion. Who cares? You don't like the way an RPG is made, catering to a specific group of people? Go play another RPG. Things don't need to change just to make you happy. Some like the system, some don't. It's like that with everything.
