I opened to fire emblem only to see that the manual was just one page folded up. What happened to those days of reading manuals with lots of info and artwork. --- Nah hidden stuffs are still in games these days... you just have to pay for them. Capcom calls them DLC.
They got a lot of flack for not being environmentally friendly, so they had to cut them down and make most of it digital. Same reason 3DS cases are thinner with holes in them- to save plastic. --- Pokemon Black- FC: 0003 3185 8262 Monster Hunter Tri, ID:71YAXZ -EU Server!

I don't think any games release with manuals anymore. Ni No Kuni had a little one I think, other than that, I can't remember last time I got one. --- http://i.imgur.com/J7RZm.gif http://i.minus.com/jdhz8Qk44JjS5.jpg http://i.minus.com/ibvmrm7irgmmJM.gif

I can see why the publishers would want to phase them out. They have to pay a team of designers, illustrators, and writers to work on the manual, and then there's the cost of printing. Couple that with the fact that gaming as a whole isn't mostly for geeky boys like it used to be, it's much more mainstream and the mainstream is not reading the manuals. --- "Time to fry, yeah, FRY BABY!!!" http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k261/memjr/purge.jpg

Manuals are a waste of money.

The NES, SNES, N64, GCN, GB, GBA, DS had great manuals with everything. They had up to 50 pages in one game. These were the good old days.
The manuals are now inside the 3DS, Wii U, VC, WiiWare, 3DSWare and more that explains everything to save on paper.
