Just got a 3DS XL today. Are there any free games or anything in the eShop?

Free games? On any Nintendo eshop?

Let me tell you something. Expecting free digital software from Nintendo is like being a rat in a valley of other rats. There's never any food and you survive by clawing and chewing away at your fellow rats. Still, it's not enough and you're never satisfied. Then, one day, a hand smashes through the heavens and tosses down a single piece of cheese. The hand then retreats beyond the dark sky, never to be seen again.

The amount of times we've seen free deals on the 3ds eshop can be counted on one hand. You'll need two hands if you include the Wii and WiiU eshops. And if you count being an ambassador, then you'll need enough hands to hold an N64 controller.

In short? No free games to my knowledge, but they pop up every now and then.

Free? No.

There are a few good, cheap games. Not many, but a few.

The only ones I'd really recommend as being worth the money are Gunman Clive, Crimson Shroud and Brain Age Sudoku.

But, yeah, no free stuff. Everything costs money and most everything is overpriced.

Naw, most of the free stuff is long gone by now.

There's always the Youtube app. Oh, wait, no there's not, because you can't watch Youtube on the 3DS. AT. ALL. GG, Nintendo.

Always interested in any Pokemon event distribution cartridges. My email is in my profile.

Gone by now.

As far as I remember. Apart from free apps. The Legend of Zelda 4 Swords Anniversary Edition came free. And Excitebike 3D came free for early adopters bar ambassador games.

You say that like X-Box Live and PSN are just loaded with free games. Aside from PS+ deals, PSN doesn't have free games, and I've never seen one on XBL either.
