So would it be like Zelda 2 meets Metroidvania?
#32006_Posted 2/13/2013 3:54:55 PM
Well Lords of Shadow on the 360/PS3 is a fantastic game, but a lot of CV fans were butthurt because it wasn't a 2d game. The soundtrack was amazing, but a lot of CV fans were butthurt because it wasn't 16 bit. They named it a reboot, but a lot of CV fans were butthurt because it didn't follow the original storyline.

Can you image what will happen if they made a Zelda game?

If it's the one who was in charge of the Metroidvania games, then yes. But the one in charge of the horrendous LoS franchise (not saying the games are objectively horrendous, but they are horrendous in how they hurt the franchise in my eyes)? F*** no! I don't want Zelda to turn into a QTE-infested garbage subpar God of War clone.

In SA2, it's Super Sonic and Hyper Shadow.

It's not fantastic at all. It's a poor man's God of War and doesn't play or feel like Castlevania in the least bit. It's the kind of gameplay that has no place in a Castlevania game at all.

I'd vote yes if it meant we'd finally be able to meet the graveyard duck.

Did you consider that perhaps people were upset because - I don't know - the game wasn't even supposed to be a Castlevania game in the first place? That they took a GoW clone that really had nothing going for it, slapped CV on it for a sales boost, and then decided that this wuld be the series' direction from here on out?

Considering the guy says he likes Ocarina of Time and would like to make a game like that... I don't see how bringing him on would make anything more Castlevania-esque.
