Animal Crossing: Wild World doesn't load on 3DS XL?

I tried playing Animal Crossing: Wild World on my 3DS XL and I couldn't get past the "Online interactions not rated by ESRB." As soon as that message went away the screen turned black and didn't go any further. I waited a few minutes, nothing. Other DS games work fine on it, I can play Pokemon Black 2 and SoulSilver no problem, but for whatever reason AC:WW won't work. It worked on my old 3DS and original DS. Any ideas as to what's wrong?

Did you try taking the game out, blowing in the DS slot and re-inserting it?

You just need to clean the contacts on the game card. The game works like it normally should with my brother's 3DS XL.

You probably already know this, but to be sure, just be careful when cleaning the contacts. Using the wrong type of cleaner can permanently damage your game.

I tried blowing on the DS slot, tried cleaning the game, nothing. Still shows the ESRB message and then goes black. Tried it on a normal 3DS, still nothing. Any other ideas?

Have you ever used AR codes on it? It may have bricked. Thats what happened to mine years ago. It would show the ESRB message, then the Nintendo logo, and then.. nothing.

That's probably it. I used a few minor codes myself, but I got a TON of AR related things from friends. My town is full of hacked stuff. I remember last time I played it was a month or so ago; I turned it on just to see how stuff was going, and then saved and quit. Thanks for the comment, it's too bad that that's probably the case.
