Access different country eshop question

hey guys.

I live in Portugal, is it OK to set my region to UK, to buy a game in UK's eshop, and then revert it?

You can try. It won't damage anything, but I am not so sure the eShop works that way. Won't hurt to try though.

Yes.

I've done it with my imported US 3DS - I changed my region from America to Canada and it worked fine. (It even took my purchases across).

I seriously doubt this works because then region locking wouldn't be an issue.

You can only change within your 3DS' region.

A US-region 3DS can change to any region that uses the US 3DS (Places like Canada and Mexico). A European 3DS can change to any region that uses it (UK, France, Australia, etc).

The TC is in Portugal and wants to change it to the UK which is the same region.

That said different countries accounts are separate.

You can change whenever you want, but your funds are locked to a specific country. And I believe your download history is too.
