Which one is harder New Super Mario Bro 1 compared to New Super Mario Bro 2?

Which one is more challenging?
I beat the first one, but since it was one of my first 2D platformer it took me a while to beat. So how much harder is NSMB2, should I get it? I'm trying to get my game skills up! Usually I just play casual games like Harvest Moon, etc.

considering nsmb is the easiest game I've ever played...

2 is about on par, maybe even a little easier if you don't get the dlc
for me, it was frustratingly easy and I felt a bit insulted

the secrets in 2 are harder to find, but not for the right reasons. Just because they usually involve hitting a completely random invisible block

Why do reviewers have to be so enthusiastic all the time?

Super Mario, bro.

Sorry.

Anyway, I believe they're about as difficult.

If you like collecting tons of coins, then you may like NSMB 2. Otherwise, I'd have to say that I like NSMB better, as it just felt more fresh and inspired. Well, some things done throughout the levels are better thought out than in the first game, but I think the first had the bigger impact. Not to mention, the mini-games and 2-player VS. mode were top-notch in that game. Something totally non-existent in the sequel.
