Crimson Shroud or Unchained Blades

I haven't got any RPGs on the eshop and I am looking at these. Unchained Blades is more my style, but it is $30.

Crimson Shroud is good, but short. It has TONS of grind potential though, but that can either be good or bad.

pardon if my posts suck, i post by tapping on the handset button on a one-way analog handset. i saw Hannibal Lecter do it.

Unchained Blades may be pricier, but it will LONG outlast Crimson Shroud. Both are great games, but if you're looking for length AND good gameplay, go for Unchained Blades. I'm twelve hours in and only on Chapter 2! Hope that helps.

yeah it may be 3x+ the price, but unchained blades has more than 3x the content. Its a full length dungeon crawler, with pretty good voice acting and lots of mazey goodness. Some of the mechanics are lacking (particularly when compared to EO or SMT) but you get what you pay for and more.

Crimson Shroud is terrible, get Unchained Blades.

Even as a fan of Unchained Blades, THIS. It's 5 days away for something infinitely more polished and, arguably, enjoyable. Unchained Blades suffers from radical difficulty schizophrenia, and while that used to be a common staple in the EO series, it made many more team compositions viable. EO4 looks to make this even more true.

Already preordered Etrian odyssey 4. I just want something fresh to play in the meantime. In that case it sounds like I should get Unchained blades. In the UB forum I asked how hard it was and someone said "not precisely difficult". What do you think?

^its not as hard as the EO games in general. But as mentioned, it has big difficulty spikes (such as the first titan boss)

Like I said in that same topic, once you get Status-Up all spells, it really breaks even the bosses as well. I cleared out one boss in three turns doing that.
