Dots on my 3DS XL screen

What happened? Brought it a few days ago and played about 3-4 hours. I noticed small dots on the right side of the upper screen vertically. Tried to wipe, but these things don't disappear. What's wrong? The 3DS XL is scratching itself?

Essentially. The top screen getting little divots from the bottom screen border is a known issue (though not one many here would like to acknowledge).

It may have happened during shipping, since Nintendo doesn't insert a foam sheet between the screens when packaging it (unless they have begun to do so since I got my XL at launch). Whatever the case, you're going to want to put a screen protector on the top screen to minimize that.

If it was me- and at one point, it was- I would return it since you just got it, exchange for a new one, check to make sure it has no dead pixels or other issues and put a screen protector on the new one. Shouldn't have to, but, well......it is what it is. :)

Problem solved.

I love this case, and the screens do not touch each other at all when it's on.

Plus, with shipping it comes out to just over $3.
