Are there many JRPGS?

I dont need any more of any type of other genre but I could do with a console with more JRPG's and RPGs of the "old style".

Kind of weird that no one has bothered to post an actual reply. Huh. I guess I will.

Yes, the 3DS has JRPGs, but not many. Luckily, the JRPGs it does have are very, very good. I won't bother mentioning the massive NDS back-catalog, but you should be aware that many of the finest JRPGs of all time were made or ported or remade for the NDS.

1. Tales of the Abyss. A classic Tales Of game, ported from the PS2, an enormous experience.

2. Etrian Odyssey 4. A old-school dungeon-crawler style JRPG. Tons of content, tons of fun. Easily my favorite game of 2013 so far.

3. Shin Megami Tensei: Soul Hackers. A remake of an old SMT game. Also a dungeon crawler.

4. Fire Emblem Awakening. An SRPG with a bunch of really, really cool features. It's a crazy-good game. Easily my second-favorite game of 2013 so far.

5. Dragon Quest VIII 3D. An upcoming remake of what many consider to be the finest Dragon Quest game of all time. The very definition of a "classic."

6. Shin Megami Tensei IV. Also upcoming. You may have heard of the third game, which was called, simply, "Nocturne" as being one of the best PS2 JRPGs, period. Hopes are very high for this one.

7. Devil Survivor Overclocked. An enhanced port of the DS game. It's... very competently built, and certain elements are intriguing. It's definitely worth a look, but I'm not sure it's good enough to strongly recommend it to anyone.

...Plus there are plenty of other games that are only more-or-less RPGs... pseudo-RPGs. Like Code of Princess; Super Mario Sticker Star; Kingdom Hearts;etc.

...And, oh well, while I'm at it, here are the must-play DS JRPGS.

Infinite Space
Dragon Quest V
Dragon Quest VI
Dragon Quest IX
The World Ends With You
Chrono Trigger
Radiant Historia

You only mentioned a single game, and Nickcool just posted a bunch of youtube links. Not quite the same thing.
