Considering upgrading to the XL for one reason only...

Matte finish. Is this a dumb reason guys? I like my 3DS screens as they are, and I heard the speakers are better on the small, but fingerprints drive me crazy >_>

Plus the stylus is in a more easily accessed area on the XL which is a plus... what is your view? Should I?

I bought a few games for the tiniest thing.

If you want to spend $200 or whatever the price is then do so.

At the moment, I am waiting til E3 to see if a new model gets announced. But based off the knowledge we have now, I wanted an opinion. I thank you for yours

There's certainly not anything wrong with the XL. And it does have better Start-Home-Select buttons. Also, as you said, a better stylus position. It's all just a matter of taste really, if you like XL better than go for that. The only reason I'm not interested is because idk if the XL could fit comfortably in my pockets and I bring my 3DS with my just about anywhere. That's the only downside I see.

I don't think they're going to announce a new model. It seems to early for that with all of these games being announced.

If you feel the upgrade is worth the money it will cost, then by all means, go ahead and do so. If not, don't.

Whether it's a dumb reason or not is all up to you and how much more you think you'll enjoy a 3DS XL.

A matte finish is one of the reasons I'm craving for an XL but I'm holding out for a new color, specifically grey.

Don't be upset because of what you can't do. Do what you do best, live as carefree and optimistically as you can because some people aren't able to do that.

No, it's not a dumb reason at all. It's one of the reasons that I got an XL.

That's not a bad reason. Silver and black collect some fingerprints and smudges, especially the black one, but the red and blue are excellent and don't collect anything. Besides, once you go for the bigger screen, there's no way you can go back to the tiny screens of 3DS. The speakers are disappointingly small, but with headphones it's quite adequate obviously. I never play with handhelds in loud environments anyway, so the speakers are fine to me, but even if the volume slider is at maximum, the volume is quite low compared to my DS Lite.

What should I even write here?
