Gyroscope stuck

#1ss4gogeta_darkPosted 2/26/2013 10:05:16 AM
I used to be able to tap my 3DS and it would fix it, but now its stuck way left and I cannot get steps. Anyone here ever fixed such a thing? I don't have money to send it to nintendo or anything like that.

This is horrible. My 3ds has not collected steps in 3 or 4 months. The gyro seemingly works fine in zelda OOT?

If its less than a year old its under warranty and Nintendo can fix it for free.

My 3DS is from launch, its not under warranty anymore. And for the love of god there are no videos or anything on the net about what it even looks like. In Zelda OOT I can move around fine and look with the gyro. In Mario kart 7 it was stuck turning but I tapped it and it got unstuck.

It still won't count steps. The gyro =/= pedometer right?

Ok the gyroscope is randomly getting stuck playing mario kart 7 too. After tilting my 3ds around it just gets stuck to the left turning in the game.

Ok the gyroscope works fine, it just WONT count steps. It worked perfect for camera in SM3DL and OOT. In MK7 it seemed a little jittery but I'm not used to the gyro controls so it may just be me.

Its only not counting steps.

Yeah, aren't the pedometer and gyroscope two different things in the 3DS? So if you aren't getting steps it shouldn't be the gyroscope.

Well tapping the 3DS on the back has fixed that. Still I have yet to see a video of the pedometer or gyro being shown. If it was able to just be cleaned so it wouldn't be stuck, that be great. Nintendo wants 95 bucks to fix it because, "its a full repair to bring it up to standards". Dumbest thing ever because it works except for that.

Nintendo says its the same part. 65 dollars for repairs, for being a long time customer. Aint so bad. I'll send it in when I have money.
