Masahiro Sakurai of Kirby, Smash Bros, and recently Kid Icarus fame is suffering quite a bit from Calcific Tendonitis.

http://gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=196943

Calcific Tendonitis is caused by calcium deposits, not repetitive stress. The reason the calcium does that is unknown, but it's believed to have some link with age and differences in blood supply between one tendon and the others.
.

Good luck Sakurai! You Must Recover!

Edit: Since people are skeptical, more links for more authenicity.

I feel like I'm being set up for a joke about Kid Icarus: Uprising's controls...
---
DLC, online passes and the rise of casual budget gaming have ruined the video game industry.

Kid Icarus is not brought up in the article.

Calcific Tendonitis wouldn't be caused by gaming or repetitive stress as far as we know.

Yea it's legit and he isn't able to test what is going on in games.

* He is going to have to rely on other's input more so than ever and that could be good or bad.

This Will delay the game by about 4-6 months but since we have no idea when it will release then who knows.

He basically said it's so bad he can't even test the 3DS out because of the condition in multiple parts of his hand/ arm.

I feel bad for the guy.
