New Legend of Zelda game should be annoucned this year ?

IF you look at past history of LoZ games, especially the handheld versions then we see that:

MC: 2004

PH: 2007

ST: 2009

Since then we've had a remake in OoT 3D and are getting OoA/OoS ready for VC release.

That is 3 LoZ handheld games released to hold us over until the next one is announced.

It's been about 4 years since the last Legend of Zelda handheld game and so my thinking is that we will get an announcement sometime in 2013 about the new LoZ 3DS game.

I'm hoping for some info at E3, but I also see Nintendo doing their on Nintendo Direct just for the LoZ.

Dev times for Handheld games usually aren't as long and so the 4 year time gap most likely means that the new LoZ 3DS game is probably 85% complete.

It's the longest wait for a Handheld Legend of Zelda game in over a decade so I see us getting an announcement this year.

Do you guys agree / disagree ?

Do you think I missed some info that would indicate something else besides what I've stated ?

Is there other info we could analyze to try and break it down better ?

My guess is that we are getting a new LoZ game in December 2013.

I really want an OoT3D style game in terms of controls. I never really liked the stylus control scheme. I am hoping for a great E3 this year.

I'm clever, vaguely feminine, a vampire, and I wield Dice. PH33R.
The 3DS and PSVita are both outstanding systems. Wally the Equality Weasel says so.

I'm hoping for a TP sequel.

If it has stylus controls, I'm not even going to entertain a look at it

I could see them announcing the 3DS one this year and the Wii U one next year.

I'm also not a fan of the Stylus controls.

* Keep stylus for organizing items and drawing on maps and writing notes and maybe a few puzzles

* Control Link with the Analog and use R-Trigger for Sword or whatever Item.

L can lock the buttons can block and be the other items that you can switch to.

As long as it's not another Phantom Hourglass/Spirit Tracks, I'd be all over it. Those two really sucked.

Spirit Tracks > most games in the series.

I enjoyed PH and ST, but I see an original 3DS for the Zelda using more the 3D and less stylus control.
May be announced this year, we shall see.
