To anyone turned off by Monster Hunter's demo, combat is only half the game

The demo does a bad job of selling the game. I admit this. But please give the whole game a shot because combat is not what sold me to the series. Upgrading weapons, killing monsters and making armors out of them, and finding the best armor sets and weapons for each monster sold me to the series. Conquering a tough battle and wearing armor claimed from that damned monster is the best feeling in the world haha. The battles are fun but people need to realize there's an extremely indepth customization aspect to this game that really satisfies my number crunching fetish. Just my two cents. I really want Monster Hunter 4 to be localized so please give it a shot :(

Thanks for your time

this is a little sad, like you work for capcom

but I kinda agree, monster hunter is a game you need to dedicate a lot of time too, a little demo doesn't really indicate what the game is about

Hmm, while I do agree that MH has more to offer than combat, that's going to be what you spend most of your time on. So if you dislike the combat from the demo, you probably won't enjoy the game.

having to equip 10 different armos to raise your defense by a small amount instead of a single equip that gives the same bonus is bad.

i prefer something like what portable castlevanias did, the GBA ones more so than the DS' (Weapon, Armor, Accessory. that's all you need)

So more customization is bad?

The reason that there are so many pieces of gear is because the skills they grant you are MUCH more important than the defense.

Defense is a nice bonus, but rarely a major consideration.

The other half is mindless grinding of craft materials so you can go back to grinding monsters.

Will buy for <20$.

Releasing a game that is about to be leapfrogged by it's successor in a couple of months? No thanks. These aren't localization-heavy games, no excuse.

Man never saw a people try so hard to get other people to buy a game. If the demo fails to captivate more gamers then Capcom failed. The deserve to lose money because they didn't represent well. Not like Capcom is a great company anyways.
