I'm thinking about cancling my preorder of Castlevania

#1elsmittyPosted 3/3/2013 11:04:11 AM
I have Castlevania fully preordered and I'm thinking about canceling it after I played the demo.

I thought the game looked fine. I didn't notice a frame rate problem. I miss the sprites but the 2.5 d thing wasn't that bad.

What really pissed me off is the lack of an option to use the d-pad.

Why isn't that an option?

All 2d Castlevania have been controlled by a d pad sense the dawn of Castlevania and this one wants to break the mold..

And I really hate using the 3ds' analog to control 2d platformers.
It's just too slippery...

I'm so mad too cause I want to like this game.
But something as simple as the controls might prevent me from getting this game

Don't worry, that's perfectly normal. That "simple" reason is one of the main reasons why so many people dislike the DS Zeldas.

For those players who don't speak Australian, we have provided an English translation of the previous scene. Do you want to replay the scene?

That is true. Sometimes when I let go of the control stick I end up putting my hand back to the d-pad out of habit, and it's really annoying to keep realizing that the d-pad's not for moving, but hey, gotta get used to what you have.

Maybe there will be some type of control option in the full game?

Seems like the kind of thing that would be easy to get over after a little bit of playing.

I keep telling myself that maybe they'll include an option.

And, maybe after a few hours I won't notice it.

Do you have an original or XL? I've never noticed any "slipperiness" before, just wondering if maybe its an original model thing?

Slippery? I have an original model and I didn't have problems controlling the character.

I'm thinking about posting a "cool story bro" image in response.

Seriously, why do any of you people think the rest of us give a s*** about what you're buying and not buying? Go get a facebook page already.
