Should I still get Castlevania if I really liked the demo?

Playing the demo was my first experience playing a Castlevania game and I really liked the graphics, mood, and gameplay. Despite the mixed reviews, I'm still considering it. I'm a college student so for me, getting by a game smoothly (Linear, but fun and enjoyable gameplay) is fine for me.

That's what I'm going to do, so yeah, go for it! It's not like the reviews are horrible anyway, it's gotten more good reviews than bad, and even the main complaints in the bad ones are hardly game-breaking issues.

Money is tight right now. I still don't have any of the 3DS releases this year, besides Brain Age. And for last year, the only retail games I got KI:U, KH3D, PM:SS, RE:R, MGS 3D. Pretty much all the important releases now that I think of if. I'm just missing Theatrythm and Layton (first time).

If you liked the demo, then buy the game.

... yea I don't get this logic of "I liked the trial version! Should I NOT get the full version?" That line of thought... just confuses me. Why WOULDN'T you get it if you liked it? O_o

On a more game-content-related note, it would be pretty good for you to play Lords of Shadow on PS3/360 before you play this, both for plot and to see if you like this style. Remember: the Lords of Shadow games aren't rooted in Classic Castlevania nor the "Metroidvania" style SOTN popularized so don't let it color your opinion on THE WHOLE FRANCHISE, be it good or bad. Castlevania has many games and is fairly diverse.

Are the reviews that mixed? They seem mostly neutral-positive with a few outlier negatives. I'd guess the average will be around a 7 - solid playable game. If you liked the demo I'd say it's obvious to pick it up.

Why don't you grow a pair and make decisions for yourself?
