It looks like Fire Emblem may be the winner here...

Uprising, simply because it's caters to my taste more than Fire Emblem. Although, while I'm not a huge strategy game fan, I have to say, Fire Emblem is pretty damn good.
This is the internet, all opinions are considered invalid.

Fire Emblem easily.
Currently playing: Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance

I see it's still fashionable to hate on KI's controls.

I dunno if maybe its a problem for little kids or teenagers or what, but it worked fine for my adult-sized hands. I suppose they're genuinely bad if your talking about playing while waking down the stairs or something, but if you're sitting down, I see no problem. The ability to flick for the camera is critical to how the game is designed. The only alternative would have been another done-to-death z targeting system, and that would have necessitated either more linear environments or lower enemy counts to keep incorrect targetting to a minimum.

Both are great games but KIU has awful controls

They aren't awful.
They're just... unique...

I voted Fire Emblem, mostly because I'm biased, but also because I never played Kid Icarus...
With your bad back, I don't think you should be picking up any girls.
Van Morrison is still a really cool cat. O.K.?

What kind of asinine comparison is this? Alternate question: which is better, oranges or Gandalf?
