What the biggest video-game-music-related "Holy crap!" moment you've had?

Mine would have to be... finding out that Yoko Shimomura composed the music for M&L: Superstar Saga, Partners in Time, and Bowser's Inside Story. Only after finding out that she composed the music for the Super Mario RPG SNES game did it make more sense to me. Speaking of which, the BIS final boss theme is awesome.

What you say is true. Unfortunately, people have been generalizing like this for years.

I had no clue such a game existed. I'm gonna see if I can find a copy now. Thanks!

My most recent one (Monday?) would have to be when I first fought EO4's First Stratum Boss.

Any game with nice music surprises me nowadays though.

I haven't played any of the EO games, but I plan on picking up 4. I love Dungeon Crawlers. It took my like 3 years (including months downtime) to finally finished The Dark Spire, but I loved it, and while EO seems like it's a lot different, it's worth a shot, right?

Also, only related because of music, but have you ever listened to the soundtracks for some of Idea Factory's SRPGs? Like Spectral and Blazings Souls? Those are awesome, even if !F's games are generally looked down upon because of the grinding and little direction you're given at times.

Well the Halo and Chrono games both have amazing OSTs that blew me away when I first heard them, but as far as a single song, I have a very clear memory of just stopping in my tracks when I first heard the Gerudo Valley theme in OoT. Amazing song.
