I feel like getting a 3ds for MH3U and Castlevania MoF

But I've never fully been into a MH game before and Castlevania looks like a fun game to play. Thoughts?

I can recommend MoF, but I've never played a MH game before. Are you in a rush to buy a 3DS, or can you wait for a sale?

If you ever plan on getting a Wii U get MH3U on that instead. 3DS won't have online play which is a real bummer. Haven't played MoF personally.

Its pretty cheap now so I dont need to wait for a sale also I dont think I want to use a circle pro for MH but I dont know if the controls work well without one..

That's if you have both the Wii U and 3DS versions, using a sort of "Ad Hoc" mode where you can go online using your Wii U for you 3DS.

But you have to have both games.

And if you're really patient, wait for Monster Hunter 4 (Which I hope will come to the West) and it has online.

Japan gets it this Summer. lucky ba...

I believe to do online you have to connect your 3DS to a Wii U and download an upcoming patch. Pretty silly.

Technically both versions can get online, but both versions also need a Wii U to do so >_>

Be sure you get an XL, MH3U is way to small to play on the original 3DS.

And MoF is a game to rent, not to buy.

- Way too short, only four chapters, and the first one is a 5 minutes tutorial
- No boss rush mode
- No sound test
- All characters play the same
- No online capabilities
- No cool unlocks
- No New Game+ with another character
- 0 replay value
