Just got an XL. Greatly improved over regular 3DS, except for one thing...

The stylus holder is in a terrible position! It was perfect on the regular 3DS I wish they didn't change it.

I'm not left handed and I loved the old placement.

I'm not a fan of the XL's stylus in general since I thought the extending thing was so cool in the original's

You are utterly insane TC. The original 3DS has HORRIBLE UTTERLY HORRIBLE stylus placement. I could never get the thing out and was always pulling on the wrong protruding bit or whatever... so ultimately I never even used it.

I also didn't like the extending function. It necessitates two hands which makes it useless. In the spur of a gaming moment where you need to quick-grab the stylus you don't want to be fumbling around the back near the cartridge and bothering with extending functions.

I'm right handed, and the original placement was my biggest problem with the original 3DS. Absolutely terrible! Besides the bigger screen, the stylus placement on the XL is the next best thing. Nintendo will never do that again(at least I hope they don't).

This. Extendo-stylus was garbage, and so was its location.

Gotta agree with the crowd. The original stylus placement was garbage. I liked the metallic feel to it though.

I have no issues with the stylus placement in the original 3DS. Don't see the big deal.

i'm left handed and love the stylus placement on my 3DS. I hate that it is on the opposite side on my WiiU gamepad :)

Yup. The new placement is terrible. If I want to use the stylus in my good hand, I have to hold the system with my left, take the stylus out with my right, and somehow swap the two.
