Both are really REALLY good games.
dqv is better for turn based fans like me,but ct maybe better if you hate taking turns.

i like dqv more but like i said that's because i prefer tb rpgs.

Chrono Trigger is turn-based, just not traditionally so. You still take turns - the only difference is that it has a different method of determining when the turns take effect.

I never played Dragon Quest 3-6. Based on that, Chrono Trigger.

Chrono Trigger easily.

While dragon quest 5 is good, it's just more of the same from the series.

You guys are trying, but not helping. More info please, my brother wont wait much longer. Thx in advance.

Take Dragon Quest V because you won't be able to find it for anything less than a king's ransom.

Chrono Trigger is more readily available and you can pick it up yourself fairly easy.

If it's deciding on which one to buy, go with Dragon Quest. Copies are scarce and hard to find, and usually expensive if you do. Chrono Trigger is an excellent game as well, but is a lot easier to find and is not very expensive. Plus if you have a Wii or Wii U you can just buy it on the VC for $8 anyway.

The DS Chrono Trigger is quite the lazy port, by the way.
