Nah. DQ9 was one of the best rpgs on the ds imo. So sadly not but I'm sure we will in the future. But as the last guy said, if you wanna play another fantastic DQ game, a remake of 7 is coming out sometime.

EO4 has these.

Polite conversation should never include Politics, Religion or what constitutes an RPG.
Playing a game for it's story is like watching porn for it's story.

Nice try. E04 is a horrible soul-crushing abomination.

FWIW Dragon Quest is my favorite game series ever and I absolutely love EO as well, so you should give it a try.

Dragon Quest 7 will probably be coming out eventually in the US or if you speak Japanese you could always import it.

Although as much as I love DQ7, it's one of the most meandering, directionless games in the series. I hope they fixed that in the re-release. It also felt like you were playing an episodic anime at times because you are just hopping around solving time periods problems with little to no reason beyond "well we can so why not?". The main villain isn't introduced beyond being half halfheartedly mentioned by a couple npcs until about 80% through the game. Not to mention if you missed even one of those puzzle piece things (or some even randomly appear in random time periods after certain points in the game) you can spend hours just wandering around looking for it with no real idea where to go. Seriously that game could cut out 10-15 hours if it just gave you a little more insight into what the heck you missed or where you need to go sometimes. It felt tediously long instead of rewardingly long a lot of the time.

I really did love the job system though and if you didn't over level your jobs early (which is entirely possible if you get them as quickly as possible at as low a level as possible) the game could be quite challenging. So I really hope they tightened up the game and made it a LITTLE more linear so you don't find yourself wandering around pulling your hair out looking for that ONE thing you missed to progress the game.

You could always go buy DQ 4/5/6 on the DS if you need you DQ fix right now.

Etrian Odyssey 4 covers all those points except the multiple towns one.

Ignore that one naysayer.
