The 3G isn't even usable for multiplayer outside SFxT, is it? By far more useless than 3D which can actually add some depth from time to time.

3G is just a connection method while 3D is actually a gameplay enhancement that allows you to perceive depth in games.
3G can easily be replaced with WiFi with no detriment to actual gameplay.

A better poll would have been 3D vs rear touch pad. The only time I've ever used the touch pad is in Lumines, and I hate using it. I'd rather focus on the screen and the music than tapping the back of the system to charge my avatar.

I have to admit, the 3D seems more gimmicky to me than 3G.
Dev's just have to widen the 3G support and the costs for using it has to be lowered, then it could become the main multiplayer connection method.
The 3D is nice and stuff, but there has yet to be a single 3DS game which utilizes it for actual gameplay purposes.

Amazing that people think that a feature, which enables online use of a device anywhere, is worse than a feature that makes the console expensive to push a gimmick that often diverts resources and attention away from "anything that enhances the actual game".

Well Sony seems to be phasing out the 3G Vita so we wont even see that anymore. But yeah the better comparison would be between the Rear Touch Pad and 3D. Neither do much gameplay wise but at least with 3D you can get some better aesthetics . I dont even really think there is a way to utilize 3D for actual gameplay. Unless is something like measuring distance between objects in the foreground and background, but that doesnt sound very interesting.

I came up with something like ghost hunts where the 3D is something like a scanner - you can only see the ghost on the second image used to simulate 3D. They could've used that for Luigi's Mansion - ghosts that hide in the 3D layer.

But I think Sony should keep the 3G option, it's a good function, after all.

Amazing that you think the 3G feature of the Vita, in its current state, is even slightly less throwaway than the 3DS' 3D, lol.

Why pay extra for 3G support for the Vita, when I can make my phone into a hotspot and get 4G with no extra cost? Granted that's a personal preference, but I bet there's a lot of people with Vitas who also have smartphones.
