Or vice versa... Bioshock will definitely be down to $30 by year's end. Luigi will always be at msrp except for the occasional awesome best buy sale.

I couldn't get into the first Bioshock game. It starts off interesting, but the repetitive environments and enemies bored me eventually.

Different systems, different genres, different fanbases, I doubt it will make much of a difference. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon OTOH, that game might take a hit from being released on the same day as Luigi's Mansion (which genius was responsible for that decision?)

I'm buying both. My backlog just keeps on increasing. I just want one more 3DS game and Tomb Raider and then I will have all the games I want till June. Really got to get going on these games.

not everyone only has a 3DS....at this point it's common to see someone owning a ps3 or 360 as well

and Bioshock Infinite is possibly the biggest title out this month

This. I'll wait for the next Xbox release, and pick up all the great games I missed this year.

Nintendo games just last longer and have way better replay value. I liked the first Bioshock and the Ayn Rand Objectivism definitely gave the story a more philosophical approach to the first person shooter/rpg genre, but Nintendo games hold their value for years to come, and that stands apparent in their price point even after 2+ years have passed.

<.< considering March is already almost over, June isn't as far away as you think.

As for me I'm not getting Luigi's Mansion until it's on sale from either BB or one of those "Buy 2 get 1 free sales". Or even ebay. Just not hyped enough to grab it for 40 at launch.
