Want to get Luigi Mansion 2, but one glaring problem...

It's longer than the first one.

I was going through the levels normally and i was just getting 2 stars. I imagine getting 5 star ranks would add a lot of play time. It is a fun game and I think I will go for 5 stars after I finish the game.

12-14 is perfect

any more and its just too boring doing the same thing over and over... it'd have to be an RPG or maybe a sports game for me to even want to put more than 14 hours into a game

actually the problem is the game is too long. 12-14 hours is ridiculous..im used to 8 hour PS3 games.

Sorry but I just got spoiled by the two games I just played/am playing:

Zelda:OoT 3d: Beat normal playthrough in 50 hours (15 hearts, about 40 skulltulas)
Fire Emblem: 14/25 chapters completed, 32 hours

And for the record, I'm 20. I've played plenty of non-rpg games that lasted me 25 or more hours

GTA4, chinatown wars
Phoenix wright
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Hotel Dusk
Mario party ds
Plants vs zombies

Don't mean to sound rude, but I wouldn't count 999 and Hotel Dusk as indicative of average game length. They are more like books than anything. 999 is, at least. Visual novels and JRPGs tend to last longer than games in other genres because they are more story based than gameplay, and you seldom rush to the end.
Best console war summary ever. TL;DR version at 2:05.

12-15 hours is pretty lengthy for a non-JRPG based on single player alone.

In SA2, it's Super Sonic and Hyper Shadow.
