Tales of Abyss 3DS or PS2

Me and my brother have only played Tales of Symphonia 1 and half of 2 together before my Wii broke. We enjoy playing them together but I want to know if it would be better to rent Tales of Abyss on the PS2 or 3DS? Benefits of the PS2 would be co-op with brother. I don't now abou the 3DS benefits but I am curious.

3DS for sure. It has better loading times, plus its portable.

3DS. PS2 load times are horrid.

For those players who don't speak Australian, we have provided an English translation of the previous scene. Do you want to replay the scene?

Are they that horrid that it would ruin coop? I am just wondering if there are tons of tweaks to the gameplay or something that make it significantly better.

PS2 version has a hardware exploit that can net you a new character for (nearly) the entire game.

PS2 for that alone.

Are you talking about the glitch that adds Asch to your party? Havent played this game in years but i remember hearing something like that was possible?

I guess I may lean towards the PS2 version if my brother wants to play co-op with me.

the PS2 version has much higher framerate in battle (they run at 60FPS) the animations look far smoother and higher res to.

the 3DS version you lose mutiplayer and teh battles run at 30FPS and feel a lot more choppy.

the 3D in that game also sucks so i wouldnt worry much about that. if you do have someone to play it with go for the PS2 version the load times suck but you will eventually get used to them and the load times arent all that great on the 3DS version either TBH their just better then the super crappy PS2`s load times lol. also on PS2 you get multiple saves files via memery cards where as in the 3DS version you have like 3 IIRC.

Definitely 3DS for shorter load times.

Yeah, it's only doable on PS2, since it involves taking the disc out and back into the tray in-game. You're not just adding Asch in party, you're trading off Luke with him.
