WTF Nintendo, my 3D slider is broken, I bought the damn device two months ago and now you want to charge me 100$ to fix it???

The slider doesn't work at all anymore and is stuck in 2D mode.

I don't think it's worth the money to fix... maybe I'll just play in 2D. Awful.

How did you even break the 3D slider?

I put it in off position and when I tried to put it back on, it was super loose and wouldn't change the effect anymore.

I didn't hit it or anything.

Original or XL?. if XL i guess i'm not somewhat surprised. the whole slider "locks into place when in 2D mode" thing was pretty unneccessary anyway. the original slider was just fine IMO. i never accidently slid it down during gameplay or whatever. really weird "upgrade".

that's horrible. $30 more and you have a brand new system at Target this week. Totally out of touch with their repair costs.

Also curious if it's the XL model or not

I would complain. The warranty should cover it 100% as long as it shows no physical damage.

yeah their warrenty should cover it provided you have a receipt. just say you a little cousin over and they broke it while trying to play mario kart or something stupid. you could partly blame their whole family friendly image with that excuse to XD.

You don't even need a receipt. They go 100% by the serial on the back of the 3DS. That's what they checked when I sent mine for repair. No receipt.
