To those with experience with screen protectors...

...if you've ever had to remove a screen protector, did it leave any marks or sticky spots on the screen? How cleanly do screen protectors peel off?

Asking out of curiosity.

Hori protectors come off easily with a piece of tape and leave no residue.

Not a once. i use "Insten" branded ones sold by eForCity for my 3DSXL/vanilla 3DS/DS Lite and my niece uses the same Insten brand for her vanilla 3DS. awsome awsome awsome stuff. no residue or stickiness left behind whatsoever. all non-adhesive so they remove easily :).

Nope. They aren't really supposed to be sticky with gum.

You buy the cheap ones and you have this problem.

You buy the Hori ones and you don't (stay on via static rather than adhesive)
So spend that extra $5 and get the Hori ones.

My original ds the screen had a weird white/misty look to it after taking off the screen protector (hori one), but it had been on there for about 3 years :D, so might have just been the screen going manky.

Thanks everyone for your input. I have already ordered Hori protectors and this is my first time using screen protectors for my handheld system, so I just wanted to make sure.
