Can we deduce that Sony's handhelds have better SLEEP mode ?

My new 3DS XL was on 2 bars of battery at midnight last night. It was red (not blinking) when I woke up at 6:30. Wifi was turned off.

My Vita was asleep for ~2 weeks, wifi on, and still has half of its battery left.

Considering getting a charging cradle for my XL to make it a little easier to keep that sad battery topped off.

My 3ds XL lasted for 3 days on one charge. About 3 hours of actual gameplay.

The Vita certainly has a better sleep mode than the 3DS and DS, but the PSP's was the worst of all.

are you sure it was actually in sleep mode?
I think my pspgo can actually last a few months on standby.

My PSP lasts 3 weeks on sleep mode, from more or less full battery to dead. My 3DS XL lasts 3 days. I have no idea what it's doing in sleep mode. Switching wifi off prolongs its sleeping life up to 5 days, but it's still pretty bad. I never leave it sleeping if I plan on not playing it for more than 2 days.

My og barely lasts 12 hours on sleep if not plugged in. What the hell is it doing in there?

It's not a fair comparison. You can turn the wifi off and the 3DS will last just like a Vita or PSP. With wifi on with a Vita or PSP in sleep the wifi isn't actually doing anything. On the 3DS it's trying to street/spot pass, so it's not really sleeping it's just got the screen off.

Actually you can download games on your Vita while it's in sleep mode. >.>

As much as I love my XL, Vita does have the better sleep mode because of that and the auto-off/sleep.

I turned on my PSP from two months ago its been sleeping since. picked it up finished the disgaea 2 map i was in the middle of and went on with my day.

my 3DS is dead by the time i go to school play it for like an hour and come back in the after noon. basically it dies in a day.

yeah Sony handhelds easily win there IMO.

PSP had the superior sleep mode. Not sure on the Vita though.
The biggest problem for Nintendo is that they continue to use the LED while it is sleeping.

I hate my psp's sleep mode. I can't ever figure out if its off or in sleep, both seem to have the same effect.

This. I think I've switched it off, then come back a couple of days later to find it was still on and the battery nearly empty.

It's not that hard, just hold the switch until the screen turns off (at least for the 3K) >_>
Just pushing the switch up and down quickly puts it into sleep mode.

Sony systems have longer lasting sleep modes.

3DS talks in its sleep though, which is fun.

This.

I love how the system still goes while asleep. Always wanted it in my GBA SP and original DS with Animal Crossing or TWEWY.
