Is buying the game worth it if I'm mainly going to be playing the single player modes? I know there is no VS Mode, so is the replay value going to be lower than Mario Kart DS for example? I will probably occasionally play online, but I mostly play Mario Kart in Single Player mode, except for the console versions.
I found it way too similar to DS and Wii versions, and I didn't enjoy most of the tracks as much. Not bad, but not that great either. --- Inside the mailbox was nothing. Nothing after nothing came pouring out.
That depends. There might be replay value if you're a veteran Mario Kart player and like playing the included tracks, or play online. But even then, once you've cleared all the tracks and unlocked all of the kart pieces, you might find playing online to be the only reason to replay. :|

there is a VS mode but it requires having friends playing with you.its in the local multiplayer feature.and yes its worth getting --- when doing business, follow these simple rules and you will be rich......http://www.sjtrek.com/trek/rules/
The online multiplayer gives it unlimited replay value. In fact, as soon as they released the data transfer tool, I bought the digital version so I could always have it readily available on my system. It still hasn't gotten old for me. The only thing that might supplant it would be Super Smash Bros. --- Posted using GameFlux
I sold mine after 3 days of play. The single player of the DS version was awesome, and MK7 just mainly focuses on multiplayer, which can be huge pain with the "rubberband" MK gameplay, and single player is pretty much the same.
If you want a great single player Kart racer, get the new Sonic racing on the Vita, or consoles, as the 3DS version sucks(or so I've heard). This is single player Kart racing done right. I played for a solid 2 weeks during the Christmas holidays, and I didn't scratch the surface of what it had to offer.
Stay away from MK7, it's another lazy Nintendo game(like the new SMB2). They can do much better than this, so please don't reward their poor efforts.
