I really hope Smash Bros. 3DS re-uses a lot of Brawl's resources

So it can be made faster and release earlier than Smash. Bros. Wii U which is looking to be in development for quite a while longer

kinda off topic but why do many modern games reuse resources?

i couldn't help but notice in the BF4 reveal trailer ,there were many reused player models from BF3 , specially the snipers

I doubt that it will, Smash Bros. 3DS is meant to be cross compatible with Smash Bros. Wii U.

Resources? Thats fine.
Gameplay? God no.

Anyway, I think Brawl may have used a few things for Kid Icarus or vice versa seeing how Pit's design was similar to the one in Brawl.

As for other games using recycled resources, most Valve games do. Half-Life, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead, Portal...it's not much but still recycling.

For a game like Smash Bros. I don't see why not. If the assets are already available, the developer can focus on gameplay aspects like more characters on top of what we have now plus additional modes. It's not like the Brawl models were horribly outdated, they probably just some touch ups if anything.

Unless it's a repackaging of Brawl, I don't see how it would be a rehash.

I don't even care as long as they get rid of tripping. What was up with that?

Knowing Nintendo it will still make its way into the game and knowing me I'll buy it anyway.
