What's a game (DS or 3DS but must be for Europe) that can ignored at any time?

And it also has to be fairly long and not reliant on multiplayer since I tend to have to leave randomly.
I'm thinking of something like Pokemon or other RPGs that are completely turn based (so nothing like FF) or even simulation games like Animal Crossing or Harvest Moon (latest one isn't in Europe though).

Basically something that will last a long time and can be picked up and put down whenever I need since I tend to only play in bursts and leave at a moment's notice.
I don't want something like Zelda where I can technically pause it but I'd still be in a boss battle or something.

Even if it's not completely reliant on mutliplayer like Animal Crossing but trading is important, it wouldn't be ideal.

I... vegy let's start over: Arianna = real person. Sam bucket = non-existent.

AC: New Leaf drops in June (in NA anyway, not sure about EU.) if you can wait.
You pretty much answered your own question though. HM, PKMN, and AC are the best choices. I might also add Fire Emblem and Advance Wars for variety though.

Tale of two towns?
I haven't played it myself, but the general consensus seems to be it's glitches to hell and back and a very shoddy port of the DS game with 3D features.

If you're really looking forward to a HM game I would pick up a DS version or wait until A New Beginning drops in EU.
Otherwise if you haven't played Fire Emblem: Awakening it's an easy pick-up-and-play kinda SRPG which looks to be what you're looking for.
