Very old news. The release date is new, though.

Wow... the premise sounds so intriguing why would I NOT get it? And it is made by Monolith Soft, as in of Xenoblade fame?

why would I NOT get it?

Because it's a boring button-mash fest with no actual strategy required.

DLC, online passes and the rise of casual budget gaming have ruined the video game industry.

They should have made all the battle animations shorter and cut the HP in half at least.

Each hit would matter.

I want this game because it looks cool, but man it just seems as though it might get annoying and old after like 2-3 hours of battle just watching the same long ass boring animations over and over and over again.

You can't mash buttons in these games! You've obviously never played any of them. If you mash buttons you miss time the start of your next hit. This leads to you dropping the opponent out of juggle, loosing damage, allowing them to counter, and possibly loosing the rest of your turn. The system is literally opposite of button mashy. Its like calling Secret of Mana button mashy, despite it's charge system killing your ability to use that as effective method.

You have to pay attention to what you are doing, even if it doesn't use very much varied button input(only one outside of trade and support directions). Button mashing is what you do in an RPG with no challenge because you can just ram every one through using attack. The game system involves chaining combos, and timing your presses so you don't drop the opponent. You are supposed to micro manage what 5 attacks you have equipped to a character to maximize efficacy.

AkaneJones, you straight up just sold me on the game. And I already wanted it. >_<

Kill_Jill...

1, I SAID it was just a bad coincidence it landed on a Bravely Default Topic, and 2, Just reread that crossover of studios. I repeat myself: "Why would I NOT want it?"

>_< Oh yea, it might be good to mention at this point that I have a fetish for crossovers, any of them. Any where, any media. You stick 2 things together just for the sake of doing it or because at first it doesn't look like it makes sense, and I'm on top of that. I dunno why... something weird rings deep in me when people let their characters interact with each other from entirely different franchises and studios(maybe).
