Japanese master race once again shows us why we suck... at gaming.

Most of my individual stage times are faster, but he collects 3 coins in quite a few stages and at least 2 in most others. But damn, it's really impressive. I can imagine this level of skill and planning for short stages, but it takes me lots and lots of retries to even do 1 stage half impressive as this play shows. I can't imagine to do the whole game with this level of near-perfection.

I think the game also displays why Super Mario 3D Land is a superb and brilliant game.

In SA2, it's Super Sonic and Hyper Shadow.

Yep.

BTW, there are still my best times that get taken over by someone else and when that happens ...

Considering Japan's allegiance during World War 2 I'm surprised no ones called you out on calling them the 'master race'.

If the Sega Master System was a speed bump to the NES, the Atari 7800 was a tire-staining squirrel.

This isn't really about WW2. This is more about how Japanese folks always seem to do crazy impressive things in video-games. It's not like it never happens in games played by western folks and Japan isn't at the top of the fighting game community or anything... but watching these things is like watching magic, and it's almost always done by a Japanese player.

It's not exactly typical. The precision, timing, path planning, etc... that's very impressive. It's by no means a simple game to speedrun... in fact, it's an incredibly hard game to speedrun. Try speedrunning the game yourself to see if you can produce the same or a better result on even a single one of those stages (not just with time, but also same amount of star coins gathered).

I would like to see the Japanese "master race" try to 100% Super Meat Boy. Think they can handle it?

The Boondocks on Adult Swim is my favorite anime.
