3DS or PS Vita for turn based strategy RPGs?

Both are great.

Including DS and PSP digital games as well

Vita by far. PS1 classics and PSP games on the PSN far outrank what the 3DS has to offer.

FF Tactics, Tactics Orge, Disgaea, Jeanne D Arc, Valkyria Chronicles, etc. The only real top tier SRPG the 3DS has is Fire Emblem. DS SRPG's, I don't know because I haven't played too many of them on there.

Damn it I bought the wrong system. I'm off to go sell my 3DS and get a Vita! Now I can scratch that srpg itch!

Good for you, you can help out the Vita's sales.

You can also play Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume on the 3DS. It's one of the best SRPG's ever created.

We also have Fire Emblem: Awakening Project X Zone, Devil Survivor: Overclocked and Devil Survivor 2: Break Record

Don't forget Front Mission 3, easily one of the best in the genre. And there's also Vanguard Bandits, Saiyuki, Arc the Lad Collection, Growlanser and those Idea Factory SRPGs if you're into that.

3DS has Fire Emblem and the excellent Devil Survivor series.

Vita has the PSP library (some of it anyway) and other stuff, like Disgaea. Both are pretty good for SRPGs.

lol so true, you also need to buy the overpriced memory cards to play PSP games. The 3DS on the other hand is fully backwards compatible with the DS and you can also use r4i carts.

Definitely Vita, but you probably wouldn't be disapointed with the 3DS either. Both platforms are awesome for RPGs but as mentioned earlier Vita has PS1 classics so that on top of Vita and PSP games easily out does DS and 3DS imo.
