When buying a 3ds, do people only purchase the XL now?

Does anyone still buy the old school 3ds? I'm gonna buy my wife one, but I only have the original gangsta 3ds and dont know much about the XL.

Some people prefer the original. However, their reasons are wildly exaggerated most of the time.
Is that a W shirt?

Depends on people's preference. Whether they want a big or small one, more portability, etc.

OG 3ds is like 30 or 40 bucks cheaper than xl right?

The thing I hate most about my OG is that it scratches the top screen when left in the closed position. Kinda like some weird emo who self cuts.

Cheaper at the cost of battery life and screen size. Some people with big hands are at a disadvantage too. For me, I have pretty big hands but I find a way around it. I'll be upgrading eventually. Just not now.

people buy used games for $5 less from gamestop so of course people still buy original 3DS to save $40.

I prefer the smaller one, I'm willing to sacrifice screen size for its compact size. The XL is not comfortable in my pockets, if I'd play only at home I'd probably get the XL.

I don't see the point.
