Handheld gaming vs. Console gaming?
Lately, I've been noticing that I spend a lot more time playing my 3DS than any of my other consoles. Fire Emblem and LM2 have been taking up a lot of my free time, and I keep looking forward to the next big retail and eshop releases. On top of this, the DS is at the point in its lifetime where there is a huge backlog of great games and series that can be had for cheap prices, and I find myself picking up more and more DS games each month.
Between all of this I've noticed that I'm really kind of starting to care less and less about console game releases. I can't even get hyped over PS4/720 news, and the Wii U's software is being released at a snail's pace. It seems like there are less and less games interesting me for consoles, whereas the DS/3DS games I'm picking up are constantly piquing my interest or keeping my attention.
Am I the only one who is feeling this way?

Overall console imo Right now handhelds.
Most of the things I want are on handhelds so...

I like handhelds so much more after last gen...
the ps3 and 360 only have few exclusives which arent even that great... most of the great games are multiplatformed which i get on my PC
^ for every 2 exclusive i like, there are probably 5 multiplatformed games that I like better (and im not a fan of exclusives on the ps3/360 too... i think there are probably around 4 total exclusives i like between 360 and ps3 so far)
if we compare ds/psp to ps3/360, i enjoyed my ds/psp so much more because of the unique games and variety... while the ps3/360 is pretty much the same old
I dont see a reason to get a ps4 or durango next gen unless they do something drastic to move away from pc gaming...
I can see myself getting a wiiu because i can see it being a great party tool as well as quality nintendo first party games, but i will probably not care for most third party games unless its unique (wonderful101)

3DS and Vita are also new systems while the PS3 and 360 are on their way out. I've always been partial to handheld systems. Probably because handheld games aren't so focused on graphical power and remind me of the SNES/PS1 days.
Handhelds work so much better for me due to my nomadic lifestyle. While I do own an XBox360, it is left at my brother's house (along with my TV) so that we can play Borderlands 2 or that Castlevania arcade game together on our own screens.
That isn't to say I dislike console games, I have Tekken Tag 2 on my 360, but I would likely play it more on a handheld were it available (I am looking at you, Vita).
Of course, then a game like Ni No Kuni comes along and I am enraptured watching my brother play. And of course Borderlands 2.
So as of now, and even though I have a far better than gaming quality laptop, I play about 5% on Home Console, and 95% on a handheld system, my 3DS or Vita.
I know I should get around to playing the second part of StarCraft II, though.
Handhelds all the way.

Handhelds. Console is waning.
I have always hoped for a BERSERK Final Fantasy Game to be made realized.
