Handheld gaming vs. Console gaming?

I prefer handhelds over consoles mainly because handhelds are not magnets for identikit fps games like call of duty even though the nearest me have to multiplayer shooters are Kid Icarus Uprising and mercaneries 3D.

Definitely handhelds. I think console gaming has declined. Whenever i'm playing a console nowadays, I'm usually playing old games I never finished for Gamecube, PS1, or PS2.

Handhelds for me mostly. I like console style rpgs and raid like games.

My interest is definitely leaning more towards handhelds. I will likely get both a Wii U and PS4 for the console games that interest me but over all I will do most of my gaming on my 3DS, PSP, and potentially my future Vita. There are some good consoles games on the PS3/360 and Wii but they are fewer in number compared to the PS1 and PS2 days. I feel that handhelds are continuing where the PS2 left off as far as games goes.

I made the full jump in the GBA days and have never looked back.

I know what you mean.

My launch 360 broke down finally in the Fall, and I never picked up a new one.

Been playing my 3ds and Vita like mad.

Plus when my laptop finally died too, I needed a new computer. Picked up a BEAST rig on black friday for dirt cheap, so now if there is a new console game out I want, I can usually pick it up there, and almost always for cheaper.

Currently Playing

Handhelds:

Monster Hunter 3U
Persona 4 Golden
Blazblue CS Extend
Fire Emblem

PC:
Tomb Raider
Crysis 3
Arkham City
League of Legends

will buy when done with all i got (lmao)

I use PC as my "primary gaming console" and my 3DS for playing 3ds/ds games in bed, or on the couch, or with me wherever I go. Between the 2, you get a nice balance of cutting-edge games and some good, old-fashioned RPGs, and way more.
