If you enjoyed Tri, then you should absolutely get this game. It has way more content than Tri did. I paid $60 for my Wii U version and it was very much worth it, so I'd say $40 for the exact same game (with portability) is even better, especially since you have people to play with.

I recommend this game, especially if you have someone to play with. I do prefer this game on the Wii U, but it's not horrible on the 3DS.(I have both)

totally worth it!
The $39 youll invest to it will give you atleast 500 hours of gameplay.
You can access eveything in offline mode on both 3ds and wii u unlike tri.

Do you like farming 20-30 minute bosses for rare monster parts? Do you like crappy underwater fighting that you're forced to take part in? Do you like playing an MMO by yourself? if yes then this game is for you.

The game is fun for about an hour when you're just running around killing and collecting... Then you realize it's just an mmo without any social interaction... Also, I'm pissed the 3ds doesn't have wifi multiplayer... I shouldn't have to be in the same room to play with friends... Let me enter their friend code, or match up with randoms and fully enjoy the social features of this game. The last thing I want to do when in a room full of friends is pull out my 3ds and play, isn't that what consoles are for..?

Quick question...I'm assuming the demo is purposefully linear and closed off? Is the real game more open or does it still have massive amounts of invisible walls and stuff? I mean I know it's more "open" but.

Also what is the quest structure like? From the demo I played of this and the one on the PSP seems like it's kind of like Folklore on the PS3 where you choose quests then go out and really only do those quests. Or is it more like a Skyrim where it's really open?
