Come on Nintendo.

Seriously? You still think like this? The number one complaint from non-Nintendo fans is that Nintendo keeps using Mario and Zelda. Have you noticed that no one besides Nintendo fans are excited for these games?

Will it really hurt to make new games with new characters?

Nintendo is stinking rich from doing what they do though. They won't change how they do things until people stop buying their games.

It's not like say, Square Enix, where financial trouble has caused them to replace their CEO and rethink how they run things.

1) Mario sells a crap ton. Do you seriously think that all those buyers are Nintendo fans?

2) When did Sakura Samurai, Dillon's Rolling Western, Pushmo, and Fluidity stop existing?

Nintendo has enough money in their safety stash for 5 consecutive console generations, and their safety stash is still growing.

All of that is thanks to their 1st party IPs such as Mario and Zelda. If you were them, would you turn your head from such successful IPs that people still like? Not to mention, they do create the occasional new IP, they just don't do it haphazardly like Capcom. And most importantly, they return to them and develop their IPs. Look how far Mario's gone from his beginning days to now. They took their time to develop the Mario IP.

As for the people who complain about Mario and Zelda? **** them. They're all just stupid teenagers who are too insecure to play Nintendo games because they're afraid of being called kiddy. It's like Pokemon, love em as a kid, hate em as a teenager, love em again once you grow up and stop caring about idiots around you.

Yeah if you just see the numbers, you'll always see that the people who speak out against Mario and Zelda being "rehashed" don't affect the market as a whole. The market as a whole loves them, so does Nintendo have any obligation to cater to the vocal minority? Let them just sit on their puddle of tears while Nintendo makes other people happier as a whole.

I'd like both. Nintendo games are very fun but I also like new experiences. I'd really like if they would be innovative with their old and untouched franchises. Ice climbers, star tropics, even kid Icarus and star fox could use more love.

Apparently those aren't "Real Games" that are also new IPs that just don't fit the trolls' rigidly arbitrary definitions of what is a "real game." Especially involving Downloadable games. My god the words people have to try and tell you how DLable games just aren't "real." -_-
