I still can't help but feel that the old DKC games made by Rare(a western studio) is far better than the new one.
The new DKC game in the Wii took out many of the animal friends, give you an excessive amount of health(compared to the 1-hit per monkey in old games), and you just don't feel nearly as acrobatic as you were in the old games. Bouncing off enemies in the new games just don't feel as good as in the DKC games made by Rare. Even the environments didn't seem as cool as some of the ones we see in DKC2 and 3, like giant honey combs, etc.
............how come Rare is no longer as good as they used to be? In fact, what the hell happened to them? Was there a fall out within the company or something? As a company who made DKC, Banjo Kazooie, and Killer Instincts, you'd think they'd stick around a bit longer. Sure Killer Instincts 2 kinda sucked(WHERE DID RIPTOR GO?!), but still....
What's the general consensus with the DKC Returns game? Are people disappointed by the lack of Winky?
So there was a falling out or creative difference thing? Or did they just form a new company to make games I've never heard of?
They Formed Free Radical and made the TimeSplitters Series. They are now owned by Crytek. --- Official Dark Samus of the SSB4 board SSB4 Roster: http://i.imgur.com/6Bta9nE.png PSN/NNID/Steam: Soanevalcke6
