Bought a 3DSXL and Luigi's Mansion: Which free game should I get?

#1SnakdatsmlzbakPosted 4/18/2013 10:33:13 PM
I recently purchased the Pikachu 3DSXL and Nintendo has the current promotion http://club2.nintendo.com/3ds-xl-promo/ of buying either Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon or Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and receiving either Freakyforms Deluxe, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, Super Mario 3D Land, Starfox 64 3D, or Art Academy: Lessons For Everyone.

Trying to decide between Professor Layton, Super Mario 3D Land or Starfox 64 3D. Anybody have a suggestion on the matter?

I picked Starfox 64 3D. In my opinion it's a great game for picking up and playing just a bit every once and a while. Have it installed on your 3DS compared to SM3DL and PL:MM makes more sense because of the nature of the game.

I already had Super Mario Land 3D, cart form, and Professor Layton, I only played the first 1 (have the trilogy on DS), but haven't gotten the others, so I didn't want to delve into the second (trilogy) one yet.

I got Starfox 64 3D. Haven't played it much but the 3D is great on it.

3D Land is the best of the 5, and the best example of what makes the 3DS awesome.

Starfox is a ton of fun, but it only last a few hours. And unless you love the idea of a game having 'replay value' of beating the same levels over and over again for the slight chance of getting a higher score, you;ll get bored fast.

Professor Layton is amazing the first time through, but there's pretty much no replay value. Once it's over then it's over. Buy the physical cart and sell it after you beat it.

3D Land > Layton > Star Fox > the rest

Thanks for the input and suggestions guys. I'll probably end up owning all 3 at a point in time but I think 3D Land is the one I'm going to be grabbing now as a digital download.

Mario Games are also mean't to be played over and over again. considering how intentionally short the levels are in this game it was talor made for short pick up and plays when out and about. maybe 2-4 levels then close your system up to do whatever else.

I guess the same could be said about PLATMM.

Either way i'd completely avoid Freaky Forms Deluxe. any of the other four on the list are great.

I think alot of the SF64 decision has to do with it having the complete multiplayer for download-play.
