I'm not sure I would call the BS Zeldas sequels, they always felt like revamps of the original games to me.

OK, first of all, "BS Zelda" is not a sequel to ALttP.

There were two Zelda games on the Satellaview.

BS The Legend of Zelda, a remake of the original NES The Legend of Zelda.

and BS The Legend of Zelda: Ancient Stone Tablets, a sequel to A Link to the Past.

And neither of those are canon games.

The official sequels to ALttP are Oracle of Seasons, Oracle of Ages and Link's Awakening.

So it has 3 canon sequels, and 1 noncanon sequel.

True hardcore Zelda and Nintendo fans topic.

Stopped reading right here. When someone claims to be this, I can't take him seriously until he apologizes for even thinking about combining the words true, hardcore and fans in one single title.

Yeah no. Use a bit of logic. The GB/GBC games took place chronologically after ALttP. LA was supposed to be the same Link as ALttP. The Oracle games were retroactively shoved in there.

They aren't sequels to ALttP any more than Mario and Luigi on GBA was a sequel to Super Mario RPG.

ALttP is an actual sequel in terms of title, story, gameplay, character and setting. The GB/GBC games only shared the character and gameplay, which is a moot point because all Zelda games feature Link with incredibly similar gameplay.

LTTP->LTTP2->AST->OOS->OOA->LA

LTTP has 5 direct sequels counting LTTP2. Ancient Stone Tablets doesn't star Link, but it takes place a few years after LTTP. Oracles during the same time, with LA happening right after the Oracles.
