Has anyone actually put a JP only game in there 3DS?

I know that the 3DS is region locked, but has anyone actually tried? I'm assuming nothing would come up on the home menu, but I want to know what happens.

The Wii U is awesome. Been playing Fire Emblem Awakening, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, and NSMBU.
Eagerly anticipating SSB4, WWHD, and FExSMT

I have twenty four US games and five JP games, none of the US games work on the JP system and none of the JP games work on the US system. It just shows a blank icon when you put it in.

Here's the horrible joke:

the Sava Data Transfer Tool you ca download for free in the eShop has no region-lock.
If you put in a 3DS game of a different region, it will still show the icon and title in the app.
And it really hurts to see that Senran Kagura icon without being able to play it... T_T

Just boot up your 3DS with no game in the slot and you will get the exact same effect as if it were a Japanese game.

It's worth noting that certain games treat NA and Europe as the same region. I'd still buy NA games only just to be on the safe side.

Systems that block used games are in violation of US and EU laws.
If Micro$oft tries to do it... CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT TIME!
