Will the Circle Pad Pro XL help me play my XL without cramping?

I did not know that the CPP R button doesn't function outside of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Resident Evil Revelations, Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance], METAL GEAR SOLID 3D Snake Eater, and Kid Icarus: Uprising...

That must be annoying.

And TC, I honestly don't find the CPP to increase comfort very much. It increases the thickness which is kind of nice, but it's still not very ergonomic or comfortable. I would recommend importing this grip:

Dang it.

I want that 3DS XL rubber grip! I bought one of those Chinese made grips on Ebay and it actually feels nice when the 3DS XL is installed but they're made to seemingly NEVER let go of your 3DS XL properly.

I tried to remove it only using a small bit of force and it wouldn't budge. Eventually I had to pry it off using a plastic shim and in the process, the bottom half of the 3DS XL came apart. I was able to snap it back in, but I was really annoyed that the grip did that to the system.

Then again, the 3DS XL seems to be even even less sturdily made than the original 3DS.

Again, try this...

They worked really well and felt really great on the normal 3DS and I actually have one coming today for my 3DS. I've tried ones that look just like that imported ones and this felt better than anything I've tried. Plus it has the added benefit of protection as well.

Seriously, R button doesn't work in non-circle pad games? I was gonna purchase it to play all games with a better grip... How can they fail like this...?

Yes seriously lol... I thought the same thing, unfortunately I bought one first without realizing it so now I either have to return it or try and sell it.

My hand most cramps up when playing mario 3d land which requires the use of the L and R buttons so the CPP would be useless for me.

dang nabbit. I would try one of those rubber grips but id really have to test is before hand.

Just got the one for my XL on and tested it out and it works great! No, it doesn't fit on 100% snuggly but unless you have OCD it won't bother you at all. Where it counts most it fits great and the grips are just big enough to matter without being so big they make it worse.

Definitely recommend it...try to find one in-store that way if you don't like it just return it.

Thanks for the recommendation. I actually tried the Dreamgear one you mentioned and I didn't like it. It wasn't ergonomic enough for me and the material it was made of starts to get 'slimy' after a few months of use (I have other devices that use a silicone based cover/protector/skin).

The silicon grips/protector... Way more ergonomic than the CPP XL and easily the most ergonomic that I've tried.

That's cool, yeah I mean it's not perfect that's for sure it's just that out of what I've tried it was the best. I never had trouble with it getting slimy though...
