I couldn't bring myself to finish the game.

It's a Tales game.

Get it.

Great action RPG. Lots of customization. Large overworld.
Great story and characters.

The backtracking in the latter portions may be a little annoying though.

I've enjoyed other tales games (Phantasia & Symphonia), but this one felt really bland to me, I couldn't like any character and the story didn't really interest me (even after the important parts).
As for gameplay it was pretty much like the others, and I enjoyed that, but the rest of the game didn't really click with me.

I only played it for 5 hours, at the very least it seemed better than Symphonia which is a start. Will most likely return to it later.

Its an average game. If you're RPG-starved it will fill the void.

The game is 60-80 hours, but it drags on in the second half and you start wishing for it to end.

I saw it at target brand new yesterday in the $20 rack. The game was sealed and loose among the other games like tale of two towns and some cheap 3rd party games.

I didnt see a price but Im assuming it was $20

Its ok. I felt that some of the dialogue sequences dragged on for too long with nothing happening and a lot of the same things being repeated

Please provide me an example of a game with a good story.
Tales stories are serviceable. They aren't the best the industry has to offer, but at least it's not cringe-worthy like Dead Space 3...
Someone people like some characters, while some don't. I liked Anise, while a lot of people don't (probably because she wrecks everything in battles).

AD Skills selection
Capacity Cores to control character growth
30+ moves per character configured the way you want
AI strategy control/battlefield positioning control
Skill selection to make a unit a caster or melee (or healer in some cases)
You can control any of the 6 party members (and you can switch mid battle)
Costumes and Titles
Cooking for healing or buffs before battle (and some a better cooks than others =D)

Try again please. Or least try and provide a decent argument other than one word.
