Does the class of an SD card make a difference on the 3DS?

I'm using the 4GB class 4 SD card that it came with, but I'm thinking about upgrading to a 32GB class 10 SDHC card. Will it make a difference for maybe download speeds or anything with that kind of upgrade? I need the extra space anyway, and this one is on sale so I'm going to get it regardless.

Extra space is the only change you'll see, I'm pretty sure.

Download Speed depends on your connection.

Download speed isn't affected by a storage devices transfer speed. Load times would, but there isn't much of a notable difference. Anything above class 10 isn't really worth it.

Pretty sure this. You won't notice any differences in gameplay or load times regardless if you have a $15 Walmart Sandisk SD card or a $70 class 10 one.

Just get the cheapest and highest capacity you want and be good with it.

I didn't really think it would improve download times, thought I'd ask anyway though. Better load times is definitely a plus though! Not that the load times have been bad anyway.

Probably not, but you can't really even find (good) 32GB SD cards that aren't class 10 anyways.

I would strongly suggest you not get a Class 2. Try to aim for Class 4 and above. In my personal experience, Class 2 cards have been problematic.

I would strongly recommend you buy the Sandisk Extreme.
